President Trump sounds off on the newly released memos of fired FBI Director James Comey.
He took to twitter late Friday, saying Comey illegally leaked classified memos to the press, in order to spark the special counsel’s investigation.
Copies of the memos written by former FBI Director James Comey are photographed in Washington, Thursday, April 19, 2018. President Donald Trump told former FBI Director James Comey that he had serious concerns about the judgment of his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, according to memos maintained by Comey and obtained by The Associated Press(AP Photo/Susan Walsh)
The President claims the infamously debunked Steele dossier launched a probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 election, which he has repeatedly referred to as a witch hunt.
This as Comey’s memos were released to congress and later leaked to the media, which solicited a response from politicians on both sides of the aisle.
James Comey illegally leaked classified documents to the press in order to generate a Special Council? Therefore, the Special Council was established based on an illegal act? Really, does everybody know what that means?
Meanwhile, Comey is scheduled to speak at Amazon’s corporate headquarters next week to talk about his new book.
Comey will reportedly speak to employees as a guest speaker on Monday, but will reportedly not be getting paid for the appearance.
It’s worth noting Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post which President Trump has criticized for covering his administration unfairly.

The President has said in the past that companies like Amazon pay little to no taxes, while putting thousand of retailers out of business.
