President Trump is pushing back his deadline on imposing steel and aluminum tariffs.
The new deadline for the EU and other countries will now be June 1, the white house confirmed Monday.
The initial deadline was originally set for May 1.
South Korea is also set to be exempt from the tariffs.
Back in March, the president said the U.S. would place 25 percent tariffs on aluminum imports and 10 percent tariffs on steel imports.
The news comes as the U.S., Canada and Mexico are said to be making progress on NAFTA and several cabinet members are heading to China to negotiate a new trade agreement.
