Trump Admin. Cracks Down On Trade With China

As trade negotiations continue with China, the Trump administration is rolling out new stricter trade rules with the Asian nation.
The White House will enact tougher export controls to counter intellectual property theft and protect national security.
The move includes a 25-percent tariff on about $50 billion on technology imports.
A list of affected goods — largely believed to contain stolen American intellectual property — will be released on Friday, June 15.

“We have been ripped off by China,” stated President Turmp. “An evacuation of wealth like no country has ever seen before, given to another country that’s rebuilt itself based on a lot of the money they’ve taken out of the United States, and that’s not going to happen anymore.”
Last week, the president announced his administration would lift some restrictions on Chinese phone manufacturer ZTE provided it continues to buy American parts and pays a fine for violating U.S. sanctions against Iran and North Korea, which could give the president some leverage at the negotiating table with Beijing.
