This comes as a North Korean refugee in the U.S. detailed having to eat mice to keep from starving to death.
She claims the latest signs of peace from the rouge regime will not help the North Korean people if Kim Jong Un remains in power.
“The current regime and current system will not give freedom to North Korean people, and because of that, North Korean people still suffer, will die and the history will keep repeat again and again,” stated North Korean refugee Grace Jo.
The World Food Program has been in North Korea for years, but has had to cut back its resources due to funding shortages in recent years.
WFP officials say this week’s visit was meant to increase support as relations between the U.S. and North Korea have recently improved.
