President Trump says he has the absolute right to pardon himself.
The president made the statement in a tweet Monday, saying he reserves the option as has been stated by numerous legal scholars.
He then added, “why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?”
As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong? In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!
President Trump finished off by stating the never-ending witch hunt is led by 13 very angry and conflicted democrats and others, which now looks set to disrupt the mid-term elections.
President Trump also condemned the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
In a another tweet he said the DOJ’s appointment of the special counsel is “totally unconstitutional.”
The president then pointed out that despite its apparent lack of constitutional standing, he is cooperating with the probe because “unlike the democrats” he has done nothing wrong.

Despite dragging on for more than a year while costing taxpayers millions, the Mueller probe has so far revealed no evidence of wrongdoing by the president.
