The United States Agency for International Development is set to send out additional millions of dollars to oppressed Christian communities in Iraq, thanks in large part to Vice President Mike Pence.
According to USAID administrator Mark Green $25 million will go toward persecuted communities in Iraq, mainly comprised of Christian and Yazidi groups.

That $25 million raises the total amount distributed among both minority groups this year to roughly $100 million.
The announcement follows a proclamation by Pence earlier this week, pledging support to Christians and persecuted communities in the Middle East.
